On Saturday 14th September 2024, Warren Hackley the Diving Coach at Corby East Midlands International Pool was invited to attend The Swim England East Midlands Regional Awards 2024 at Loughborough. The awards ceremony recognises and celebrates the commitment and dedication of the incredible volunteers, clubs, coaches, and teachers.
Warren had been nominated for the Diving Development Coach Award, which recognises the outstanding contribution of a coach in supporting and inspiring people to engage in an aquatic sport, stay in aquatics, enjoy what they do, and achieve their goals. Warren was successful in gaining the award, with the panel hearing how as a coach he a holistic approach to the development of all participants, recognising their changing needs at every stage of their development. Warren has actively developed his own coaching style to diving by trying new approaches, he has created a thriving, welcoming, inclusive, and positive culture for all in the sport.
All the staff at Corby East Midlands International Pool and North Northants Leisure would like to say a huge well done and thank you to Warren for his dedication and enthusiasm in the way he coaches individuals from 6 years old, to adults in their 60’s and those at Club level, you most definitely deserve the Diving Development Coach Award. Warren will automatically be entered into the Swim England National Awards 2024 at the University of Birmingham on Saturday 30th November 2024, wishing you all the very best.
